Saw this in Ronnie's LJ and decided to post it as well.

Post a memory of me in the comments. Doesn't have to be the first memory of us meeting, just the first event that comes to your mind when you think about me. It can be anything you want. Then post this in your journal and see what people remember of you

You fit in with:
Humanism

Your ideals mostly resemble that of a Humanist. Although you do not have a lot of faith, you are devoted to making this world better, in the short time that you have to live. Humanists do not generally believe in an afterlife, and therefore, are committed to making the world a better place for themselves and future generations.

Save your money, don't bother with King Kong. It could be about 1.5 hours shorter and then it might have been a decent popcorn movie. As it is now, don't even bother. I sat there for most of the movie unable to suspend my disbelief. A few of the effects sequences were completely terrible.

Looks like my worries about not finding a job until after new year were kind of premature. I start work with Moe again on Monday and will stick around doing that until I get a job somewhere else. It was a relieving phone call to get since I was worried that nothing would come up between now and January putting me in a serious financial bind.

I feel bad for pissing and moaning about this but since I've been here I unwittingly got roped into driving my mom around until I have to head back to school for my finals. She dropped her car in the shop before they left to go to new york to get whatever damage was caused by my dad's little bottoming out episode in September. Apparently there was a load of damage and 3 weeks later she still hasn't gotten her car back. They say it will be ready for Tuesday so I've agreed to stick around here and bring her from place to place, otherwise it'd be another week of car rental for her and that was starting to get a bit expensive. Now I'm thinking she'd be doing limited things to give me time to get anything done I needed to do in town, OH NO, this is not to be. Tomorrow she wants to use the car to go to church so I don't think I'll be able to get into any normal shenanigans. Already today I've spent more time taking care of shit for her than I have in months.

ughh.

Another semester draws to an end. Not too happy about it though, the easy job I had is coming to an end and unless they only count this semester in my LSU GPA, I don't think I'll have pulled my previous LSU GPA out of the gutter enough to continue as a visiting student.

From what friends in the department have told me they're not going to let missing credits slide so I'm going to have to go back to UNO at some point in the future. I don't think it will be next semester because I've got to find a job that pays enough for me to cover my rent and food up here, Paul tells me they need someone at Eatel so that looks like the best bet at this point.

Oh to be independently wealthy. I wouldn't have a care about where my money was going to come from, I'd just pack up some things and go forth into the world to make my life, bouncing from location to location until I finally found where I belong.

As it is I think I'll be moving back to New Orleans as soon as our lease is up in October, maybe earlier if I can find a job that pays enough to cover my rent up here (I'd move back to my parent's house but hey a home is a home) I really want to work on things down there and help make the city a better place for those that stick to it. After it gets back on its feet then I can think about following my dreams (shit to be honest I can make my dreams come true there just as well especially in light of the situation the city is in now)

Oh well. I think I'm going to go home tomorrow, I need to help my mom with her computer and I promised I'd go down soon after we got back from NY, but it's been a hectic two weeks with my project. Tomorrow we're locking everything in place though so I'll feel comfortable going home to help her out with the computer and it'll be nice to see her again. I also need to find a powerplug for my dad since it seems to be somewhere in my room and nobody can find the thing.

Well November has almost passed us. When I think back I can't remember much of the past few months, it's just been hectic. Everything is a blur of moments that seem to go by too quickly.

I haven't updated since I haven't really stopped to think about things in quite some time. Here I am, the semester is about to end, I'm not sure what's on tap for January, but whatever it is, it's got to be better than this milling about working on things that don't really interest me. About the only thing I find exciting these days is when someone presents a problem at work that I'm not too sure about and we solve it together. Jeez that sounds even lamer than it did in my head.

Well I'm going to be meeting my parents in New York next week, they're leaving today to visit with my brother, then they're off to visit my Sister in December. They deserve the trips. I'm glad my dad is following through and going on a few holidays, the man worked too much.

While in NYC I plan to shoot heavily I've got my notebook filled with locations and specific shots I plan to get, hopefully I can pick up some MF film up there on the cheap and get a bit shot on my Holga and TLR too. I really want to get something I'm proud of on those cameras.

My brother got possession of a camera I won on eBay and mailed it to me. After jumping through a few hoops I finally got to the post office to pick up my box. In it I found a whole bunch o goodies :)

1 Yashica D
1 Canon AE-1
2 Chris Ware graphic novels (including the new Acme Novelty Company book)
2 Tees (1 Coca Cola shirt in Hebrew, 1 New Yorker Festival Tee)
my shampoo and conditioner.

I'm so excited I can't wait to go out and figure out what to shoot. I think I've got enough cameras to keep me occupied for the time being and if I ever get a decent digital I'm going to really focus on learning the basics of shot composition.

the Wit

(71% dark, 26% spontaneous, 21% vulgar)

your humor style:
CLEAN | COMPLEX | DARK

You like things edgy, subtle, and smart. I guess that means you're probably an intellectual, but don't take that to mean pretentious. You realize 'dumb' can be witty--after all isn't that the Simpsons' philosophy?--but rudeness for its own sake, 'gross-out' humor and most other things found in a fraternity leave you totally flat.

I guess you just have a more cerebral approach than most. You have the perfect mindset for a joke writer or staff writer.

Your sense of humor takes the most thought to appreciate, but it's also the best, in my opinion.

You probably loved the Office. If you don't know what I'm

Man I forgot how much I liked coming to LSU if for nothing else than the scenery. I'm sitting here waiting for my class that starts in a little under an hour and already I've had to glance down to keep from staring too hard on people walking by. The fact that they've got wi-fi campus wide now helps I think I'll be loads more productive between classes or while waiting for the car group to get out of class as well.

Been back in town for over a week now, looking forward to classes starting since it's the last hurrah for me. I talked to a former professor yesterday when I went by and he told me if I need a letter of recommendation for any jobs let him know and he'll bang one out. :) Nice I always thought he disliked me and my work.

So many kick ass shows coming up in the next few months, and most of them aren't even rave related, Am I outgrowing it or is it just a lull in acts that I want to see?

Anyways my brother gets in on Sunday for a brief visit with us (since Nora and Thalia are still here) Hopefully it'll be loads of fun, I think we're taking T to the aquarium on Sunday afternoon (I didn't go last time but apparently she LOVES the fish)
